When you open your eyes and see a clear-ish but very visible string?!
Question: And it's not like you have something in your eye, rather that is on top of or within your eye...and you can keep looking at the same spot but the string moves down. It happens sometimes when I first wake up in the morning. When I look into some light. What IS that?

These are naturally occurring floaters. It isn't a big deal. There isn't anything you can do about them.
They are caused by clumps of cells inside the gel that fills your eyes.
i think you may need glasses or...
or sometimes its when you inhail lots of oxegen it makes you see things.
i just kinda posted a similar question too. I have that but it occurs almost all the time but faintly, check out my question is it the same problem?
