How can I put in my contacts??!

Question: I went to this training session the other day, which is 1/2 hour, and after 20 minutes, i finally got ONE in. I'm asian, so its super hard, because my eyes are so infuriatingly small! I have to pull open the bottom AND top of my eyelid, and even when I do that, my eye blinks, and its just soooo difficult. How can I refrain from blinking?

I would love contacts... I've had glasses for like 8 years now, and i absolutely HATE them.... please help!!!

when I do practice sessions, I always tell patients to hold the top and bottom lids with "the death grip" lol...
And always remember to keep BOTH eyes open, because when one eye shuts, the other one wants to as well...
Easiest thing for a person with smaller eyes is to try this...
Keep both lids apart and slowly bring up the contact where the top of the contact goes underneath the top lid.. after the contact is in under the top lid just slide the contact up until the bottom half of the lens suctions onto your eyeball..
But beware... If the lens hits your lashes and smashes...you have to start over because then the lens will have more of a grip on your finger than on your eye..

GOOD LUCK!!

I had fits with my contacts for a few weeks, but after a while you will learn just how far open and how hard you have to hang onto your eyelids in order to get them in. I had the same trouble you did at first, but now, it is pretty easy--I have worn contacts for 4 years and glasses for 12 years. Just practice each morning.

Do not try removing and replacing them repeatedly on the same day--it will irritate you eye severly--been there done that

Everyone blinks at first and I still hold my eye open to get them in properly so don't worry. Try to focus on something in the room while you are putting them in to keep from blinking. Putting them directly on the iris is good, but if you don't get it perfect you can move them around after putting them in. And if it is taking you a long time to get them in or they hurt and you have to take them out make sure to rewet them before putting them in your eye. They can be uncomfortable if you don't. I've never tried tilting my head.

It's like that the first few times because you're not used to it.
Try to use the middle finger of both your hands to pull down/up your eyelids and use the first finger to put it in. Usually I would try to put the contacts in by putting it in downwards near the bottom part of your eyelid and then slowly slide it up a little, or you can just close your eyes/blink a few times and look down while doing that, it will be fine. If it feels a bit uncomfortable you probably have it inside out :]

? try and drip out the solution (squeeze lightly) that is on the contacts before you put it in
this is what i do and it works :)

same wit me it will get easier trust me!!!!!!!!!
