The brand that will work best for you is really something that only your eye doctor will be able to tell you. After your eye exam and pupil measuring, he'll probably ask you a few questions about your eyes, and then he'll bring out various samples of different brands of contacts. You can try them all on, and see which ones feel the best to you. Everyone's eyes are different, so what does well for me may not do so well for you.

You definitely need to take good care of your contacts. This means proper cleaning and storing when you aren't wearing them, changing to a new pair as directed by the contact manufacturer or your eye doctor, etc. Your eye doctor will train you in all those things, and how to insert and remove your contacts. He will also give you a free trial pair of contacts to wear for 2 weeks, to see how you do wearing them.

It will probably take you about 2 weeks to get used to wearing contacts, but that's normal. After the 2 weeks, they should feel really comfortable, and barely even noticeable. You can also use eyedrops made for use when wearing contacts if you experience any dryness or discomfort. If none of that helps after 2 weeks, go back and see your eye doctor again. He may want you to try another 2 week trial with another type of contacts. You can keep doing that until you and he feel that you've found the contacts that work best for you. Also, be patient with yourself. You may not be able to insert and remove your lenses like a pro in a day or two; it will take time, but you'll get used to it. Once you do, you'll wonder why you didn't try contacts sooner lol. They're super comfortable once you get used to them, and aren't that hard to put in after you've done it a good number of times.

Most disposable contacts come in boxes of 6. They can be worn daily, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, yearly. It all depends on what the contact box says as far as how long to wear them. Your eye doctor may also have advice on this.

The price varies, depending on where you buy them, and what brand/type you purchase. I've seen some daily wear lenses as cheap as $11 per box, and they go on up from there, up into the $100s. 1800contacts.com is usually very reasonably priced on most contacts, and they ship really fast.

They do come in many, many different prescription powers, so it's highly likely that you'll be able to get the prescription(s) you need. Good luck.
