Can a television really damage someone's eyesight?!


Question: For some reason, people seem to insist on believing this: "Sitting too close to the TV will ruin your eyes". I believe the cause/effect relationship has gotten mixed up; what happens is, kids who's vision is starting to go bad sit close to the TV (so they can see it) and later, when it's found they need glasses, the TV gets blamed for it.
