How do I know when I need laser eye sergery??!
Question: My vision over the past year has gotten extermly bad. I have glasses but they don't help much. When do I know when I need laser eye surgery. Oh yea my eye specailist doesnt seem like he knows what he is doing.

If your glasses don't help, then laser won't either. Lasik will only correct the refractive error of your eyes, it won't do anything for any other problem you may have.Laser takes the place of glasses or contacts. If you don't think your eye care professional is competent, then you really need a new one!
If you mean LASIK, the laser surgery that substitutes for glasses, it is never "needed". LASIK is a cosmetic surgery, not a medically necessary procedure.
Your prescription needs to have been stable (not changing)for at least two years before a surgeon will agree to do it.
