I've often wondered that. You can change the colours by applying gentle pressure to your eye.

I usually see like blue and then the shape of my eye I can see sometimes.
omg the same thing happens to me every now and then. I think its from focusing on something harsh to your eyes
There the optic nerves in your eye, the back of your eye is full of them...When there in use they kinda take some seconds to wine up or down...There are different color nerves to...So when you close your eyes, it's kinda an imprint of what you recently saw.
yep. that you can change. you can think of yellow, and then yellow dots will appear. or if u push ur eyes inward a little with ur fingers, (your eyes closed) then you can see the smae stuff
I see weird purple and white lines at an angle, and then I see what look like tennis courts, and then the purple and white lines again.
It's either a variety of eye-related fluids, moving about (like oil between two slides)
or else it's a flashback to '75 -- OH!! That's me....
