Yes... i have brown eyes and tried blue contacts and they looked pretty cool. They blue was a really dark blue tho bc my eyes are a dark brown.
I don't wear colored contacts anymore bc I think they feel different on yours eyes than the regular ones
i hav a friend that has blue contants, and she is indian, so it does look pretty unnatural when you think about it, but in perspective, it does look like she has blue eyes.
however, last time she tried blue contacts, her brand wasnt great. spots of her natural eyes (brown) showed through, so it looked blotchy and such
It depends on your true eye color... If you have brown, then it might turn your eyes hazel, if you have green. then it may turn a really pretty turquoise color ETC.

ok, let me put it this way, if you have dark colored eyes, the color wont show as well, or, possibly at all. if you have light colored eyes, ex:blue, green, *yellow* then it will almost always show.
I've never known anyone that wore vision correcting opaque colored contacts that was thrilled with the vision--some didn't know this until they tried regular uncolored contacts, but in the end they have mostly abandoned colored contacts (I think this coincides with age too--younger people in their teens and 20's seem the most attracted to drastic changes like eye colors).
Plus it seems hard to get the right brand and right color to match you--you really have to look and there are so many brands and options--sheer colors, opaque colors...
If you're real serious about it, do your research. The internet has several sites dedicated to colored contacts where people post pics of colors--can be very helpful...
