Eyeglasses are stained and I've tried everything.?!


Question: My eyeglasses are almost a year old. I took them off one night to take a shower.I accidently left them overnight. The next day I noticed they had major stains in the glass part. I've tried everything from alcohol to windex to acetone. Nothing is working can anyone out there help. i adjusted to them but when I look at myself in the mirror i can clearly see the stains. any tip would help. thank you in advance and god bless.

First of all, never use windex on your lenses. This will eat away at the protective scratch coating and will make your lenses "cloudy". I would take them back to where you bought them to see if the lenses are defective. In my lab I occasionally see some polycarbonate lenses that get that stained look that you're describing. Sometimes they separate or delaminate and need to be remade. Depending where you got them, they might remake them at n/c if they determine the lens is defective.
