Tell her that you are having trouble seeing in school and that you are not able to do as well as you would like because of it. Tell her that you think you need a real eye examm from a real eye doctor because the screening you got at the general doctor might not catch any health related issues you might have inside your eye.

just walk into the opticians not the doctors ?

easy telll her you think u need glasess thats what i did

say : ' Mum, i think i should see a professional eye doctor as i think i may need glasses'

persuade her that you really can't see and inorder for you to do well in class and in life period you need the glasses

That 40/20 should be enough to get her to take you. If that doesn't work tell her you are having trouble seeing the board in class.

"mom, can you bring me to the eye doctor?"

Tell her you are getting bad headaches using the computer & when reading... thats a good sign you need glasses. It might be sneaky but at least it'll get you to the doc.

tell her you think your vision might be not so good and ask if you can check at an official eye doctor.
good luck!! i wear contacts and had to do the same thing.. dont worry :]

ask her whilst looking in a different direction...

If you are in school, go to the school nurse and have her talk to your mother, tell her your having problems seeing the chalkboard. If you're not in school, then just explain to her that you are really having troubles seeing and you would like to see a real eye dr. and the general family dr. doesn't know what he is talking about. Most likely you just need reading glasses.

Tell her what your doctor said and that you did not have 20/20 vision. Let her know if words are fuzzy or hard to see at school. Then just ask her to see an optometrist (eyeglasses maker). They cost less than an opthalmologist (eye doctor/surgeon), and will be able to fit you for glasses just fine.

what is a docter? some kind of pc program for eye checking? a friend? well... why would you like to have your eyes checked? if you feel like having some problem... you should tell her.. before it gets worse... i didn't go to the eye doctor because i was bored.. and now... i'm pouring 3 different medications daily in my eyes... if you're mother has financial problems to afford a doc... then try some hospital or search for free doctors in your area that check students for example for free... or with little money... do not play with ur health... ;)

tell her you have trouble seeing at the board in classroom... or the green light and signs when walking in town.... wich might be true... with 20/40..

Aren't your eyes good enough? dont understand, why you have to go eye doctor!

Do you see good at far and close? do you have any complain?
it's you that knows if you see good or bad!

Or you just want to have glasses in on face just for the fun of it?? if it's just buy a good sun glasses:)

Just sit down with your mom and tell her that you need glasses because you are having problems with your eyes. I am sure that she will see that you are taken care of.

show your mom this question and the answers U have recieved
she will understand
jane

tell your mom that your vision is affecting your schoolwork.
you can also get contacts and you wont feel self conscious

Why do you think there is something wrong with your eyes? Which symptoms do you have?
Good luck.
Bye
