About how much does lasik eye surgery cost? and is there an age limit? i'm o!

Question: I did a lot of research before I had my Lasik surgery.

Every surgeon I came across had a minimum age of at least 18, but some were as high as 21 years old. And all surgeons wanted vision which had been stable for at least 2 years.

My surgery cost $5500 for both eyes. I am in Northern California. Most Lasik centers have free consultations. They will give you testing, decide if you are a lasik candidate and give you a price quote.

im not sure about the cost, although i know it varies depending on where you live, etc.

i know that they recommend getting lasik at age 20-ish, earliest, because your eyes are constantly growing and changing shape up until around this time.

good luck!!!

500 to 2000 per eye

The age limit is 17 or 18 not sure. It cost around thousands.

lasik surgery is $4,100
you hav to hav a steady eye vision for 3 yrs
you must be 18

Well, some factors to consider. What is your current eye condition at? If it isn't troublesome and it doesn't hinder what you do then contacts can suffice. Yet if you get it at an early age and you don't take care of your eyes, it will get bad again.

Hey, I am 47 years old, and I was told I could use lazer in my thirties to correct nearsightedness. But I was also told that later on I would get farsighted. They talked me out of the surgery because it would screw up my sight as I got older.

It's often around $5000. Typically they recommend it for late 20s/early 30s since that's when most people's vision tends to stabilize, but obviously there are exceptions. You have to have the same vision for about 3 years to be a candidate. I'm almost 30 and my eyesight hasn't remained the same for 3 years in a row yet.

Runs around $2000 to $3000, depending on what doctor you use.

I had Lasik surgery about two weeks ago. Went from not reading the E on the wall (-6.00) to seeing 20/20 now. Had glasses since I was 5 years old. Best decision I ever made was to have this surgery. Surgery cost me two thousand per eye. Like the others have said most doctors require you to be at least 18 and had steady vision for two years.
