Taking naps with Acuvue 2?!
Question: I just got contacts today and I have a few questions I forgot to ask my optometrist.
I bought Acuvue 2 contacts and would it be alright to take short 30-40 minute naps in them like once or twice a week?
Also is it normal for you eye lids to feel heavy the first time you wear contacts?

Well, its not recommended to do so, but mainly because you may oversleep and many hours could pass, which could lead to very bad results. I personally keep them for short naps, and i just wet my face a bit around the eyes and soon it starts feeling comfortable.
BTW, next time get the Advanced Acuve. They feel much more comfortable, specially after prolonged use or naps.
And for the "feeling heavy", well you're feeling probably a lil' friction, but as long as is not an itching or discomfort, its ok.
you should never sleep with your contacts on because it becomes very dry after awhile. also if you are unlucky sometimes i have heard people have contacts going to the back of their eyes and need surgery
Yah is ok to nap for a while with the lenses. do use eye drops after that. recommended to use those silicone lenses for better eye heath.
