Computer affecting eyes?!

Question: Is it true or just another exaggerated rant that eyes are really affected when working on a computer for many many hours a day?? I'm scared cause I'm really a lot on the computer lately and I already have a poor eyesight (nothing too bad but still...)... and if it does affect, is the affection permanent? I turn the glare off as much as I can though... but I read pretty much... it makes me nervous. if anyone knows the truth, thanks

This is not a problem at all. Your eyes can get a little watery. If that ever happened to you. No there is no problem. IF your eyes hurt then thats a sign to take a brake. But since your on the computer alot you don't really need the brake. You can just pause the game if you want. really I think it's the brightness on the computer. I don't know why the eyes start to water sometimes. My guess is the brightness but it takes ALOT of playing to make that happen. And it's not permanent. So keep on rollin. :)

Yes my friend. Focusing on computer will affect your eyes.Furthermore , you have poor eyesight now and you are forcing your eyes for your daily view.
Symptoms :
1. Eyes will feel tired.
2. Eyes will feel dry.
3. Eyes sight getting blur.
4. Longsighted , shortsighted ,astigmatism and other eyes disease.
5. The affection more to permanent.

Suggestion :

1. Take rest when your eyes feel tired.
2. View distance for 15 minutes. It resting your eyes while you view distance.
3. Use moisture eye drop when your eyes feel dry.
4. Try blinking your eyes.
5. Get a spectacle with EMI COATING ( anti-radiation). Wear it when you using computer.
6. Add a anti radiation layer on your computer.
7. Adjust the brightness of your computer to your eyes comfort level.

It's definitely true.

You need to take a break from your computer ever so often, it will help with the strain on your eyes. Somewhere I read 20 seconds every 20 minutes or so, but could be wrong. Google it.
BTW, if you have sensitive or dry eyes, that could cause additional strain.
