okay so if you r comfortable touching your eye u wont have any probs. It took me one min to put them in.You are going to look sooooooooooooooooooooo good in contacts. If u arent comfortable with touching ur eye dont worry youll get used to it.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

They're much better than glasses. At first they're awkward when putting them in your eyes, but you'll get used to it quickly, and when they're in you can't even feel them.

Yeah, good luck, I was so bad at getting them in the first time I had to come back another time because I couldn't get them in. Good luck, and don't be like me :p

i've probly been wearing em for 2 yrs now..first time, i was so nervous. it took me a long time cuz i've never ever touched my eyes before & it took me like 15 minutes to put both of em in the first time. after a few days i got used to em. they are waaaaaaaaay better than glasses. there's no need to push em up when falling, looking for glasses when u lost them & theres more freedom.. esp. in sports.

goood luck tomorrow! :D

I've been wearing contacts since I was 14 (6 years) and I absolutely love them. They take a while to get used to. You have to follow this schedule at first and build up the hours of wear time per day.

Also, you have to be willing to take care of them/ clean them properly. Really easy though. I think you'll def like them.

I've had contacts for 7 years now. I first tried them, because I've worn glasses since I was in year two at school, and was very athletic and went through numerous amounts of glasses due to them getting broken through rough play. Also, my eye-sight degrades quickly, and it was cheaper to get a stronger prescription of contact lens then to keep buying glasses. I personally find them more practical for my situation, and I think I look better without glasses, esp growing up in school. It took a while to get used to taking them out and putting them in each morning and night, and cleaning them, but now its second nature! Could never go back to glasses. The biggest issue with lenses is care. Make sure you throw them out when required, wash them, and always have clean hands when handling them. Also care as in, when you stay somewhere over night you need to take cleaning solution and a case to hold them, unless you have contacts that dont need soaking everynight. Otherwise you may come across a few eye-infections, where you wont be able to wear lenses until its cleared up to stop spreading infection. I have a set of glasses JUST IN CASE.
Goodluck. Your optometrist/eye doctor will explain all this and any questions you may have while you're there!!

Contacts are super comfortable once you get used to wearing them, and way easier to wear than glasses.

The eye exam is very simple; you'll get the routine chart exam with the machine they put over your eyes that has different vision powers, and then the doctor will measure your pupils with this machine that you look into for about a minute, and it kind of takes pictures of your eyes to get your pupil measurement. All quick and painless.

After that, your eye doctor will bring out various samples of different contacts for you to try on, to see which ones feel best to you. He/she will also train you on inserting/removing the contacts, and teach you how to properly clean and store them. Good cleaning and storing techniques are probably the most important things when it comes to contacts, along with changing to a new pair as directed.

You will probably be sent home with a trial pair of contacts to wear for 2 weeks, to see how you like them. If you do well with them, your eye doctor will give you your prescription, so that you can order your contacts from anywhere you like, online or at the eye doctor's office. Some eye doctors will give you your prescription right after the exam, if they feel like you seem to do well with them...others will have you do the 2 week trial with the pair of contacts they gave you, then have you come back in to discuss how things went, and get your prescription.

Just be sure to ask any questions you may have. The eye doctor is there to help, and the more you know, the better off you'll be when it comes to taking care of your eyes, and your contacts.
