Some eye solutions have preservatives which can damage your contact lens. Therefore, I would not recommend using any solution that does not state that it is made for use with contact lenses. If you have nothing at all to store the lenses in, I would recommend using tap water in an emergency. Not a great idea but that's the best you can do. You must remember, though, that after storing the lens in tap water you MUST put the lens through a complete disinfection cycle before wearing it again.

You could use it temporarily, IF it is the Visine that is made to use with contacts. If it isn't, I don't think I'd try it. In that case, you can use purified water. It's much cleaner than regular old tap water that is usually full of bacteria.

If you have to use any of those things, get some contact solution as quickly as possible, and let the contacts soak in the contact case for 6-8 hours (or however long the solution box recommends) before you wear them again, because none of your emergency "solutions" will clean or disinfect your contacts, and you don't want an eye infection!
