I just got new contacts. Do contacts interfere with Iris Recognition?!

Question: Contact lenses, even colored ones, do not interfere with the process. Even recent
medical advances such as refractive surgery, cataract surgery and cornea transplants do
not change the iris' characteristics. To find more information you can visit

That is a really good question.

I would think as long as your contacts are clear, it wouldn't have any effect

I haven't read about any problems with it in our industry newsletters or optical magazines. I imagine if there was a problem, it would have been talked about at some point.

That is just my opinion based on working in the business., but not knowing much about iris recognition scanners.
