Acuvue Advance wearers?!

Question: How often do you have to change YOUR lenses? I don't sleep in mine, except for an occassional nap. I usually go just short of two weeks. But this morning, day 7 with this pair, one was HORRIBLE and I had to change it out already. I'll probably change the other out too so I can keep them on teh same schedule. Do you sometimes find that one will need changed out sooner than usual or is this something likely to be a problem?
I thought maybe it was inside out, but when I flipped it it was SO much worse. I felt like it was scratching my eyeball even on the good side.

I know what you mean i try to wear mine about two weeks and dont wear them to sleep. I think the contact lens somtimes gets scrached or damaged no matter how careful we are . We notice the damage stright away because the lens is to uncomfortable to keep in,nor should we keep them in and scratch our eye.
This has been a common problem with me so when i have a lens causeing discofort i throw both lens away. It is'nt often i make it two weeks with the same pair of contacts.
Good luck

it may have been something on the lens that tranferred from your finger or case or something to the lens. I have that happen occasionally. I find that soaking it for an addional hour in the solution can help. I have also had a very tiny tear occur in the edge, but it felt like cut glass was in my eye. There was no choice but to toss it. I do know that if one eye gets irritated, even though the original irritant may be gone, it will be sensitive for an hour or so.

I can go about 2-3 weeks with mine. Have you tried rubbing them in your hand with saline, because sometimes they get an eyelash or makeup on them and that can make them very scratchy.
