Have you had laser eye surgery?!

Question: if so, have you had any regrets? Has your vision been corrected to the same level as with your glasses? I've been wanting to get it for a while now, but not sure abou it.
I'm tired of wearing glasses, and I go through a pair every 2 months because of the metal dust in the air where I work, it scratches them up, and yes I do get the scratch proof poly-carbonate lenses, they just don't last.

I have. My surgery was remarkably short, and wonderful. In fact, I was able to see better than I'd ever seen in my LIFE, immediately. I was so careful, though, about which doctor DID my surgery. I called all the eye doctor offices in town, and asked the lady's in the offices, WHERE they had their surgery done. They all had it from the same doctor, and they were all pleased. So, that is the doctor I went to. It was wonderful.

I had laser vision correction 2 years ago. I was legally blind in my right eye and almost blind in my left. After the surgery I had 20/15 vision in both eyes and it is the most wonderful thing I have ever had!

I've recently been searching up on this, because I, soon will require surgery sooner or later.
From what i've learned theres two popular eye surgerys you can go through, PRK, and LASIK. Both laser treatments.

For LASIK surgery, they cut the a ''flap'' in the epithelium, I don't want to disencourage you, but there had been severe complications due to Lasik surgery. Even the best surgeons have patients with severe complications.

For PRK, they scrape a portion of the epithelium and allow it to regrow. I haven't researched any complications due to this, but there are always complications. The only drawback to a successful surgery is that this process is more painful for the next week or two, compared to LASIK.

This is all i know. Sorry.

I know somebody who has and she has to use eyedrops. She's been using them for well over a year now. This is a common result of this procedure. That's why it is not recommended for those who have chronic dry eyes. It will make their problem worse.

Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
