What are the best type of contacts for a new user?!
Question: Hey, I've had my glasses since I was 10 but lately I have been hating them! I want to try some contacts but was wondering which ones would be best. Or which were the most comfortable, the ones I could wear the longest and other stuff. I know alot of people who love acuvue (or something like it) but I don't know if there the best.
Thank you!

have astigmatism in my right eye (weird, one eye, i know) but i dont use acuvue.
i went to get contacts the other day and they wanted me to get softmed. so i did. theyre less than $20 a box and theyre biweekly (so change them every 2 weeks).
since my prescription is different on both my eyes, i have to get 2 boxes. so i spend about $40 for every 4 months (they come in a pack of 6.
for any contacts, the max that you should be wearing them is about 12-14. contacts block oxygen from the cornea, so excessive blocking equals protein build up--which is not good. i went to americas best and they had them there for me already. and yes, theyre soft--no they are not dry. it took me about 10 minutes..and after that, i couldnt feel them in my eye and i got used to them very, very quickly.
and for the right prescription, you HAVE to get an eye exam--its the law. at americas best, the eye exam and both boxes of contacts was $110.
i've had about 4 different types of acuvue contacts over the past 10-15 years. currently i wear acuvue oasys. they are very comfortable - even after extended periods of wear. here is a good website that offers info on contacts and other eye related topics.
