Can people actually not have black eyes?!

Question: I was talking to my friend the other day and she said that no one can have black eyes. Is this true?

No, there is no 'black' eye color. There is a congenital eye problem called aniridia, which is an underdeveloped, almost absent iris (colored part), so when you look at the eye, mostly only the pupil (black part) is visible. The eye appears to be black.

sorry but the last answer is wrong, i have no colour to my eyes, the iris and pupil are totally black, and the white of my eyes is virtually none existent, that's why my nick name is sharky, as i have shark eyes

Yikes. The Paul guys eyes sound scary.
I thought mine were black once but they're just really dark brown.

I've never met anyone with literally black iris's.
