How often should you have your eyes checked if you don't wear glasses?!

Question: I'm almost 23 and have had 20/20 vision my entire life.

My mom always said that I should go every 2 years, but is that accurate?

I'm not having any problems with my vision that I know of.

Thanks in advance :)

Every two years should be fine, in the absence of any symptoms, or known family history.

But yes, every two years... Lots of things can creep up on you that you wouldn't notice. And it's much better to find these things early, even if that means having a number of "all clear" checks.

My record holder was someone who came in only because he'd broken his ancient reading glasses.
I had to refer him for five separate conditions, two of them requiring surgery, none of which he'd noticed.

I think it is once a year. But maybe you can go every 2 years since nothing is wrong with your eyes.

Every year at your age. Except you feel your vision is not well.

Generally at your age it would be every 18 months. It may depend on your insurance though. They may only cover it every 2 years, so check that before you make your appointments.
