BB vs. Eye, poss. pupil damage, how much?!

Question: Damage to the pupil, or rather the edge of the iris, does not normally recover.
If the BB has penetrated the eye, which is what you're reporting, then anything may result: from no practical loss of vision to complete loss of eyesight.

The best result would be healing without infection, and a small off-centre corneal scar where the BB hit the eye.

If the impact was sufficient, a cataract on the lens (behind the iris) could form, up to ten years after the event.
But the biggest problem would be that the pellet wasn't sterile, and infections inside the eye are hard to treat.
With any penetrating wound there is a potential threat to the entire eye.
