Keratoconus can be a progressive thinning and protruding of your corneas. If your vision is correctable to 20/20 with glasses, then stay with glasses or soft contacts. If your NOT correctable to 20/20 with glasses, then consider RGP or rigid gas permeable contacts. RGP's create a new front curve on the front of your eye to counteract the irregular surface caused by the keratoconus and can help some people see a lot better. If eye pain and/or not able to wear RGP's then consider a penetrating keratoplasty or a complete corneal transplant.
