Wearing glasses.?!

Question: If you wear glasses for being short sighted and wear them for going out driving etc do you feel they also give your eyes some protection from flying objects like safety glasses when you go about your daily life.

I have worn glasses for 34 years now and have some feeling of eye protection as well as sight correction

What do you think ?

Yes, my friend, I am inclined to agree with you as eye sight is very precious.
I have worn glasses for 59 years for short sightedness but last year I "took the plunge" and opted for trying contact lenses - it's the best decision I ever made. Yes, you experience some strange sensations about your eyes i.e. having the wind blow straight at your eyes, likewise with rain but what a difference it can make to a person's appearance.

...no not really
my eyes don't tend to attract flying objects
:]

No not really...

I have worn glasses for 47 years and have felt for a long time they give a little protection, especially when I rode a motorbike.

I have to admit, I have never thought about it like that... Have just asked my mate and he hasn't either but we generally think that yeah, now you come to mention it, I suppose it is safer!

not for me a great deal really, in fact they can be a hazard...! when i take them off to clean them, rub my eyes, etc....
i've poked my boyfriend many-a-time whilst not paying attention properly
