Can I wash an eye glasses cleaning cloth? Will it ruin it?!

Question: I have one of those cloths that are especially made to clean your glasses... but I've been using it for a long time. Can I throw it in the wash, or will this ruin the "magic" that it contains for drying off your glasses so well?

:) Thanks

If you've been using the cloth for a long time it will work better if you do wash it regularly. Someone mentioned throwing it in the wash, and that's OK, but I prefer doing it by hand in the sink. Use a dish washing liquid like Dawn, something without added lotions and moisturizers. This will help remove any oils on the cloth and won't leave any residue that can leave your lenses smeary. Rinse well, let the cloth air dry and you're good to go.

You can wash it in the washing machine, but do not use bleach, or fabric softener of any kind. It's best to let it air dry.

i have one too, and had the same question, anything other than that cloth will scratch my lenses, you would think by now they would invent glasses that dont scratch if you clean them using any type of towel, or cloth, my best answer is, lets get contacts, or go for the surgery .
