The purevision contact lens is indeed authorized for 30 days of wear. I would say there is a good chance that whoever you talked to may not have been the contact lens assistant and therefore was not well informed about the wearing schedule. If the assistant was the contact lens assistant it would be nice of you to call her and let her know. It sounds like you are better educated than she about this contact lens.

I used to wear pure vision lenses, i also work in optics. I wore the contact lenses for thirty days. As continuous wear lenses you can also sleep in them. I dont reccomend this on a regular basis though. I learnt the hard way not to overwear your lenses (I wore them for about 40days continuously, swam in them and showered in them, Im a very hypocritical person) and I got a corneal ulcer. so be careful and follow your contact lens opticians advice.

All Purevision CL's are rated for a thirty day life-span. Why did she say that? Probably because she make $7 an hour and has no reason to better her job performance and learn the different things she should know about what the doctor she works for is dispensing. Most Americans really have terrible work ethics, do we not...?

But I digress... I wear Purevision, and some friends do as well. We all remove them every night and keep them very clean, and due to the thicker silicone hydrogel material (AirGel) that they are made from, we have had no problems getting 6-8 weeks out of each pair with no problems in terms of vision or adverse eye reactions. Of course I am not advising you to wear your contacts longer than the manufacturer states (!), I am just passing on my experience and those of others I know...

Purevision can be wore on either 2 week or monthly. It really depends on the user eyes on whether the user can adapt to the lenses. A check with the optical shop that u purchase the lenses will determine that. It advisable to wear the lenses for extended wear but not to sleep tho is it suitable.
