Can contacts lead to blindness?!

Question: I wear my contacts the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, is that bad? Will it lead to blindness?

Most disposable contact lenses should only be worn for 8 hours a day. I usually go over 12 hours, but today I had an eye exam and was told my eyes are still healthy. As long as you are always taking them out to sleep (short naps are okay), store them in clean, fresh solution, and dispose of them in the recommended time.

And since mostly contact lens wearers are going to answer this question, PLEASE follow this link to the very important question I just posted regarding contacts.

The question is called, "IMPORTANT! Contact Lens wearers, have you heard about this?"

If you sleep in them and if you limit the amount of oxygen to the eye you can get an infection and if you keep getting infections or a really bad infection it could lead to sight loss.

If you will sleep with it on your eyes... that's what I heard but definitely it makes you more attractive than wearing glasses

If you're nearsighted (meaning you can't see objects from a far distance), and you wear your contacts when you're reading your eye sight will get worse. Worse to the point where you're considered legally blind. You can prevent this by getting glasses for reading or close work. Buy the +3 rx reading glasses and use them for close work when you have your contacts on. Good luck
