In terms of comfort + convenience, glasses or contacts?!

Question: I wore glasses for two years, then switched to soft contact lenses that you switch out pairs after two weeks. I absolutely love contacts and will never go back.

1) Glasses can give you headaches, especially at first. Contacts, especially soft ones, feel like wearing nothing at all.

2) Glasses can be scratched or smudged, reducing visibility. With contacts, you just put in a new pair if the other gets damages, and your tears keep smudges away with 100% visibility.

3) It is easier to just get new ones when your prescription changes. You don't need to order special new lenses, and if your prescription is a common one, they may be waiting for you just behind the counter.

4) If you have an odd prescription, like astigmatism, the right and left contacts can be different prescriptions, which makes thing easier and better.

5) If you are into sports, contacts are so much easier it is not even funny. I myself am into swimming and martial arts, and it is much easier to do well when you can see the wall of the pool or your opponent!

6) This is just me, but I am of the opinion that eyes are windows to the soul and I like being able to see people's eyes. I can tell from your username that you are proud of your blue eyes (like me) and wouldn't want to cover them up!

7) I always felt prettier without glasses, and self-esteem is a wonderful thing.

These are all the reasons I can think of off the top of my head, I hope I helped!

Well that all depends on the individual.... It is a lot faster to just grab ur glasses. If your glasses are adjusted properly they should be comfortable. With contacts comes a little more responsibility because if not properly taken care of serious problems can develop. Some people including my self are not able to wear contacts due to dryness, when I wear contacts my eyes are horribly dry...not comfortable at all! Your prescription can also hold a part in this, if you need a toric lens these usually are not all that comfortable.

Contacts. It is the best next to lasik
