Yellow and blue aura around objects?!

Question: I had squint surgery on both eyes. I ended up with permanant binocular diplopia, I have had it for 7 months now.

I got Prism glass's, they make the images singular however I get this annoying blue and yellow fluesent lighting around objects witch is making it hard to concentrate on the computer screen. Can anyone tell me if my eyes can get damaged if I continue to wear the prisms? and why am I seeing this strange auras?

The coloured auras are as a result of the corrective lenses. They work by refracting light, but unfortunately, light of different wavelengths (colours) refracts differently. The result is the splitting of light into its constituent colours, creating a rainbow effect.

Lenses to correct vision defects are designed to minimize this effect, but the more complicated the lens, the more difficult it is. With 'normal' lenses for the more common vision defects this effect is present, but small enough to go unnoticed. But with a much more complicated lens, such as yours, it is bigger.

But - I'm not an optician - you should talk to the optician who supplied the lenses if you are not happy with them, and ask him about eye damage.
