Eyelid swelling and redness of eye...?!

Question: I use contact lenses about 5 times a week, and this has happened once before (it went away after 4 days of not wearing my contacts) but this seems to have worsened. There are no other symptoms, besides my eyelid feeling sore and me eyeball being a little pressure sensitive (no itchiness, burning, discharge, etc).

I clean my contact lenses meticulously, but I have a terrible memory and can never be sure when I'm supposed to throw them out - I'm suspicious that this happens because I've used the lenses too long but don't know for sure. Anyone had any experience with this?

You may have an infection. Throw your lenses, solution and case away and don't wear lenses until you've had your optician check your eyes, just to be on the safe side.

I always recommend to my forgetful patients either start a fresh pair on the same day every month for example the 1st of the month or, if this doesn't work write the date you opened the lenses onto the solution box or somewhere where you keep your lenses. Just some tips... :)

i am not really sure but u might have pink eye but only if it's pink and is like swelling a lot
