ive never heard of it not working. ive never heard anyone say it was a scam
Yes, it works for some people
A friend of mine got it done. He walked out, dropped his glasses to the asphalt, stepped on them and ground them into the parking lot. Never any problems, never any regrets - he wound up needing reading glasses but nothing else.
His sister went in to get it done - there was a problem and she had an eye scratched. She spent a not-fun 2 weeks waiting to see if it was going to heal without issues. It did, and she wound up with decent vision, but it was a scary experience.
It works for most people but from what I understand, those with high prescriptions are not going to be able to be completely corrected so they will still need some sort of corrective lenses afterwards. The results usually aren't permanent since people's prescriptions change throughout their lives.
