Does any one know about Eye scars?!


Question: Hello, I went today to the hospital and i was told that i have scars on my upper eyelids, these scars are made of calcium or potassium (i cnt really remeber) and these scars cause pain when blinking especially in the morning when i wake up. Also i was told that it will settle down after a while (few weeks or months) but it may come up again in the future. I was given a 'simple eye ointment' only. Does any one have an idea about wut these scars are? and how calcium or potassium is related? and wut cause them? i forgot to say that the doctor said these scars are not nasty! since i tought it might be trachoma. cheers (excuse my english if u found any mistakes :)

I don't know about calcium scars on the eyelids, but there is a common problem called eyelid concretions. It is the formation of calcium deposits, which look like tiny rocks, on under the of the eyelids. Drs. won't usually remove them unless they start to scratch the eye.
