What is worse for your eyes when it come to prescriptions?!

Question: I have contact lenses to help me see things that are far away. I see things up close very well without lenses. My son got into my disposable lenses one day and opened and poured out all my left eye lenses. My right eye uses -4.50 and my left eye used -5.00 so I just used -4.50 in both eyes for a few weeks till I ran out of lenses.

My most recent exam has concluded that both my eyes are now-4.50 which means my left eye got better. So does that mean that using the other lenses forced my left eye to improve? What would be the better choice to use lenses with a higher or lower number if I had NO OTHER choice -4.00 or -5.25?

If you had no other choice as you said, and had only the choice of going stronger or weaker.

Always go with the weaker.

So if you wear -4.50 , but had to use a temporary trial lens, then a -4.00 would be better than a -5.25

I think that's what you were asking.
