Personally, my contacts cost $175 for a 6 month supply. I have the Focus brand contacts that you can wear day and night for 1 month.
My insurance covers 80% of the cost (glasses or contacts) once per year, plus an eye exam.
Luckily for me, I have glasses as well, so I only need to buy contacts once a year.

It all depends on what insurance you have, and what kind of contacts you need. There should be a website for the kind of insurance you have, so you can look up what you can have or not. Like mine you can get contacts or glasses per year, and one eye exam. But it only covers a certain amount for contacts, and I need special ones for my eyes, So i had to end up paying like 200 dollars of my own money. I would ask your mom what insurance you have, and see if she has a booklet that says what it covers.

no it definitely doesn't unless it's for therapeutic pruposes. cost of contact lenses depends on what type of lens you want. rgp lenses and (extremely highyl not recommended) convenctional lenses would cost more since they last for a year. disposible soft lenses would cost more if it is silicone hydrogels (lense which allows oxygen to pass through). u can go google the price if you are keen
