How long does it take to get hard contact lens (RGP lens)?!
Question: I am going to travel to london next wednesday
and just yesterday, I lost my right contact lens.
I do not want to travel with my glasses on and London is cold right now right? i can already imagine glasses getting foggy and making me look so stupid!!
eye institue i go to is closed on saturday
and i can only go there on monday, but i leave on wednesday so i feel totally hopeless getting lens on the day I leave!!

You probably don't have enough time to get a new contact unless your contact is in stock which would usually take 1-2 business days. Otherwise you'll probably have to stick with glasses or have them ship it to London... As far as the glasses fogging up there are cleaners that have antifog that you can buy.
If I were you I would just go to the eye institute first thing monday morning and get it ordered regardless. Ask them if they can ship it in 2 days or less. If they can't I would try to order it online and see if your perticular perscription is "in stock." Some companies can ship your contact in 1-2 days if it is in stock. If that fails then buy some anti fog cleaner for your glasses. I hope this helps!
It usually took me about a week to get my lens replaced.
call your optician NOW. they usually have a doctor on call.
That is really difficult to say.
I would guess it depends on who your Dr. deals with to have them made, and where that lab is.
He may be able to call around to different labs and find one who can make it and ship it out the same day, so you get it Tuesday.
I have been able to get next day delivery once for a real rush case like yours.
