You're in exactly the same situation as me. I'm 14 as well.

The only difference is I have just started wearing them. About 3/4 weeks ago I think, I use the daily ones (Focus Dailies). I only use them for sports and special occasions though.

They are great, it's like a whole new world.

And as long as you're mature enough to use them responsibly and know how to care for them, there is no age limit for when to start wearing them.

So no, I don't suppose it is 'bad' to wear contacts if you're only 14.

Contact lenses are NOT shaped to the wearers eyes. Everybody's eyes are exactly the same, they never grow. So a baby's eyes are the same size as an adult's eyes. The shape and curvature of the lenses remains the same, it's only the strength that changes.

Of course not! I have several friends who have contacts, and they're 13.

its fine, im only 11 years old and i wear them. they can get alittle annoying but other than that it should be ok! =D

No. If you only wear it for parties and sports, you should be fine.

Sounds fine to me. If you get the daily wear ones you don't have anything to keep clean.

i know tons of kids that are younger then 14 that wear them,
just make sure you consult your eye doctor first

no its not the only reason eye doctors dont allow younger kids to wear them is because they think the kids will be careless with them

as long as you take proper care you should be fine
i started wearing contacts when i was 12 and im still fine

well if u already have glasses its shouldn't be bad cuz my bros only 16 and he has contact lenses

No, I've been wearing mine since I was like 12, and my sis got them when she was 11. You'll be A-OK.

No, why would it be? Contacts have to be prescribed by a doctor, and if the doctor didn't think you should wear contacts, he/she wouldn't write the prescription. If you aren't going to care for the lenses properly, then you shouldn't get them because you can waste a lot of money and damage your eyes with bad hygeine.

No, not if they are prescribed to you.
If you are wearing someone Else's, it can be very bad for your eyes because a contact lens is shaped for the person that is wearing it.

No. A lot of my friends have contacts and they are 14ish. Just don't fall asleep with them on because then you will have bloodshot eyes the next morning.

Nope~as long as you are responsible in changeing them ..my sons 12 and has been wearing them for years..Good luck

of course not! it doesn't matter if you're responsible. I know kids who wear contact lens and they are just 9 year old.

haha, wellll.
I'm 14, and i have the daily Oasis contacts.
I heard that if you wear contacts your eyes begin to get weaker because they get lazy from the lenses correcting them.
If you have good hygine, sterilize them every night and take a couple day breaks (like you said) then you should be fine.

they make everything easier for me =]

Not a problem at all

No, that is around the time I tried them out and gave up glasses for good.

Not at all!
I have friends who've had contacts since they were seven!
Personally, I like glasses and I think they're adorable but if you want contacts you should definatly get them.
~Cheers~

I've been wearing mine since i was 11..... ;-) its not bad

no, because i have friends who have been wearing contacts since the age of twelve
