Can I buy regular contacts with a Toric Script?!

Question: I have been perfectly happy with my contacts. My newest script is OD -2.5 cyl-.75 axis005 and OS -2.25 cyl -.5 axis 170.

The doc gave me toric lenses which I now learn I shouldn't *really* need and can't afford anyway.

I decided I'd keep them in all week until my follow-up and see if I could get used to them. I lasted 8 hours. I will not wear them, period. Do I need to tell him, or can I order contacts online with the sphere # only (he was very short with me and I don't want to ask him for any favors)?

Your Dr. really isn't right at all.

In sphere powers you would need

- 2.75 on the right
- 2.50 on the left.

You don't need torics at all...

Problem is you can't order just the spherical power because that isn't on your prescription....and they have to check with the Dr. first.

That is a glasses Rx you have there anyway, not an Rx for contacts.

Sorry , but you will have to come to an understanding with him....it's your money, your eyes, don't be shy.

no..you need to ask for a new script...but if he's like that..I'd find another Dr...and tell the old one, you're a person and to treat you better.

Yah, u dont need toric lenses. U can order ur lenses online.
