Is going back to old glasses ok if they work better than current prescription?!

Question: In July 2006, I got a new prescription and a new pair of glasses. Yesterday, a lens fell out of these glasses, so I put on an old pair (from at least two years earlier). I can now see better with them than I was seeing with the new prescription. Does this mean that my eyes changed back and my old prescription is good again, or should I get another new prescription (and another pair of glasses)?

You have had them a year and a half...it is entirely possible your prescription has changed...maybe a bit for the better .

Sounds like time for another exam.

You would not believe I just went thought the same thing. That is with changing to a new prescription, and finding that I was very uncomfortable driving home from the Eye Doctors, in my new glasses. It will take a awhile for your vision to adjust to your new prescription.yes you can wear old glasses, for a short period of time while you are waiting for your glasses to be repaires. But by no means should you wear your old glasses in place of your new ones. Take the time to wear your new glasses as much as possible around the house, or any place where you feel safe. Do not operate machinery,or drive in them, until you have adjusted to them. You may want to get someone to drive for you, during this adjustment period.
