Contact lense prescription vs Glasses prescription?!
Question: Aright i got my eyes checked by an optometrist for my glasses prescription which was (right eye: -2.25 -0.25x120 left eye: -2.5os) ok so knw i went to get my contact lenses and they checked my eyes and probably converted the prescription however when i got my lenses from them the box of the lens had the same prescription RIGHT EYE -2.25 and LEFT EYE -2.5... did they do the converstion right because this looks like my glasses prescription? Also lets say someone doesnt have astigmatism and there glasses prescription is -2.5 both eyes would the contact lense prescription change? thanx in advance

Your contact lens prescription if you are short-sighted like you will be slightly lower than your glasses prescription. The difference gets bigger the higher your glasses prescription. At -2.25 and -2.50 there is very little, if any difference between the two. I'd expect the prescription to be at least -4.00 before you start getting a difference between the two prescriptions.
Don't worry- the optician will know what they are doing :)
Yes, the conversion was done right.
The cylinder, being only 0.25 is dropped and just the sphere power is used.
At - 2.50 in both eyes, it would stay the same also.
If the 0.25 you have there was a 0.50...then your contact would be a -2.50 in that eye. ( half of the 0.50 is added )
so yes, your contacts are right.
