Can't Put Soft Contacts In!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!

Question: I'm having a horrible time putting my soft contacts in. I just can't seem to get them in! I tried two days ago but it wouldn't come off my finger, plus it always takes me about ten minutes to actually stick my finger in my eye. But when I try and stick the contact in, I have to use my pinky of my other hand to get it come off and it's worked, but I've switched to other contacts, and now it won't ome off at all. When I tried putting them in two days ago, I gave up after 40 minutes and my eyes were bloodshot and pink. It takes me friend five minutes to put them in, yet it takes me more then ten minutes. Please help me find a way to put these in quickly, I have to go to the eye doctors in three hours and I need to have them in by 1. Help me!!!! ='(

I would not recommend continuing on your own. What you need is further instruction from your doctor. So, go in at one o'clock and tell them exactly what trouble you are having and ask them to spend more time with you in training on insertion.

I had the same problem when I first started wearing contacts a year ago. It took me like a half hour just to get both in! lol. Now it only takes me about 2 minutes. Trust me, it will get easier and easier and before you know it you'll get both in, in less than 10 minutes. You just have to keep practicing. What I do, which is the way my doctor showed me, is to use your left hand to open your top right eyelid, and use your right hand to pull back the lower lid. Then, with the contact on your right index finger, carefully place the contact on your eye and blink. Then just repeat with the left eye but the opposite way. This is how I put my contacts in every morning, but you'll most likely find a way that works best for you.
