Burning eyes?!

Question: I work in an office with flourscent lights (wich I hate so much) and an LCD screen, I also take 13crhrs. of classes, and spend a lot of that looking at a projection screen (there's flourscents in the classrooms too) Basically I spend about 12-13 hours a day in front of a screen, the past few weeks my eyes have really been red and burning and the left one twitches a lot (lol I know). It really sucks tho, and I can't get much done cuz I'm always rubbing my eyes and can't focus on anything.

Does anyone know what I can do to help this, I'm even open to buying a new monitor for work if it will help, I wish I could turn off the damn lights!

Anyhow thanks a lot for any help

Oh, and it's not pink eye, they're only red in spots and I'm not feeling any other symptoms.

I would go get the eye Dr. to check the eyes.
If you need glasses, consider photo grey lens.
Make sure you tell all of this to the Dr.

If your eyes are dry, that can make them hurt too. Drops might help that.

Bring some eye drops with you I suppose, maybe that would help.

Have an exam and see if you need correction. If not you can still get a non prescription pair of glasses that have a light tint and anti-reflective coating. The tint will reduce the brightness on the eye and the A/R coating will eliminate glare on the glasses. Those 2 things will give you greater comfort with or without prescription. Don't waste your money on transition lenses, they have very little tint indoors and I doubt you would use these outside, which is where they work best. Computers and florescent lights don't really produce any ultra violet light, which is what makes transitions lenses work. Only sunlight..
