How to convince my parents to get me contact lenses?!
Question: I have glasses but hate them. My parents aren't the usual... they don't go for the whole research bit. I have to convince them that I 'need' them. I was thinking of asking them to get me a trial pair.... do you recommend that? I'm 13.

Show them how responsible you are. I won't be putting contacts in my kids' eyes until I know they will take care of them. They're not cheap.
I think asking if you can try a disposable pair is a very good idea. Then they can see how well you do with them and how well you take care of them.
say your glasses make you become inraged and it allows you to
see through walls (x-ray vision) and they make you co mitt obscene crimes like chew underwear.......

Well...one arguement you could use for "needing" contacts might be that your glasses give you problems when you exercise. I wear glasses myself and cannot wear contacts due to extemely dry eyes. When I exercise and sweat a lot, my glasses slide down my nose making it sooooo difficult to concentrate on my activity.
Short of that...contacts are really a cosmetic decision. By the way...have you thought about just getting a really cool looking pair of glasses. My hubby went from contacts to glasses at my request because I think men look sexy in a nice pair of glasses. Just a thought.

just tell them if they go to the eye doctor with you the doctor will make sure they are safe for your eyes. also alot of kids get contacts around that age get them. i got them when i was 12. they are alot more comfortable too.
yeah.. i was 14 when i got min eand i love them... they really do help since they are closer to you eyes.. everythign is way more clear and its hard to see when u put your glasses on after u take them out.. they help SO much!
