You could possibly have Dry Eye Syndrome (or just regular dry eyes) or allergies. Either way it is something that you will have to discuss with the eye doctor and get cleared up before they will let you start wearing contacts. Try getting some Artificial Tears (eye drops that help to soothe dry eyes but do not have medication in them) Don't get eye drops that are supposed to get rid of red eyes, they might make your eyes itch worse. If this helps, then your eyes are just dry and you will have to use these drops from time to time to keep them feeling OK. If that doesn't help try taking an allergy medicine such as Benadryl the next time your eyes are bothering you. If it's allergies then this should help. If neither of those works for you then ask your eye doctor if you might have an eye infection.

i wear glasses and contacts [i'm 13] and they might give you a headache, but you shouldn't be burning and itching unless you're eyes are dried out. I would tell your parents or a doctor, they should be able to give you eyedrops or medicine.

I've worn glasses all my life and had never had that problem, tell your mom to ask your doctor

:O... wait it does happen, when I play my PSP to long, maybe your eyes are tired because your missing your glasses

Sitting in front of a computer or television screen (close) for too long.

You won't blink as often when you are sitting in fron of the screen. This leads to problems with the eyes. It's been documented. Best treatment is to spend alot less time at computer or TV. Sucks, but it's true.

It is indeed best to share this with your parent/s, because your problem could be an infection, or something worse.

well, burning and itching is not something that should happen frequently - do you have allergies? are you using any over the counter eye drops? you need to have your eyes looked at as soon as possible - if you have any type of allergies or dry eye, your optometrist needs to address that issue before you begin wearing contacts,..

you could have allergeries or you could be straining your eyes not wearing glasses.
