I had transitions once. Just be aware that they do not get dark in the car, due to the uv protection in the windshield, so you may want to get glasses with clip ons. Or, you could just buy two pairs of glasses, and have one pair of sunglasses... here is a neat website, they sell glasses very cheap, they are the manufacturer of the frames... http://zennioptical.com/cart/home.php

I've worn glasses since the 2nd Grade and am now 50 (Good Lord, how did that happen?) I have a problem that is not amenable to laser treatments, and work in a profession where it is sort of nice of have something over my eyes anyway, for protection. You just get used to it, and I've had to recently get used to it again, having switched to transition bifocals.
Don't know any good web-sites to preview lenses, but suggest looking in some of the optical stores at the malls...they have lots to choose from. And bring a friend, for feedback!

Glasses are ok. Try not to get to thin frames because they bend easily also you have to be careful to not scratch the lenses.
But if I were you I would try to get contacts. They are very easy to use. Also to look at frames I would go to a eye doctor store or maybe go in the mall and look around and try to find something. Also you can go to google and type in eye frames and something will pop up. If you do go to a store bring along a friend.
