Scratch in my eye?!

Question: I took out my contact yesterday, because my left eye was feeling really uncomfortable, but the second I took it out, my eye was searing with pain. I thought maybe my eye was just really, really, dry, but after I put eyedrops in, it still hurt. I think I scratched my eye, but I went to bed, and woke up and it still hurts. I put my contact back in my eye, and my eye feels better, but sometimes my vision in my left eye will get fuzzy. Is it okay to leave my contact in, or even if I did scratch my eye, what could I do to fix it?

I also applied pressure to the inner corner of my eye, where the tear ducts are, and that relieved the pain.

what else could be wrong if I didnt scratch my eye?

Get to your optometrist or opthamologist as soon as possible and find out for sure.

Maybe you scratched your eye is what I suspect. So every time you blink you irritate it and feel pain. The contact is probably covering the scratch and avoiding the pain.

I think you're better off removing the contact and putting a patch over your eye until you see the doctor, but first, call and get an appointment. They should tell you what to do in the meantime.

The good news is, eye tissue is one of the fastest healing tissues in the body, so it's probably not serious UNLESS you don't take care of it. Infection is not a good thing.

Leave the contacts out for a few days. Wear glasses.

Take Pain Killer such as Motrin or Tolenol, and wear Glasses, here is what could have happened

1. You fell alseep with the contacts
2. You didnt put them on the right way
3. You wear them to much
4. You dont put your contacts in water
5. Its infected

If non of these are your problem go see an Eye doctor
ASAP, your eye is probably rejecting those contacts, Wear Glasses and they will get better, if your left eye is fuzzing it might get blind. So really see a doctor asap

Its sounds like a corneal abrassion. Leave your contact out for at least two days. The cornea heals very fast. Patch your eye overnight and buy some Celluvisc to apply in your lid margin before you patch. Celluvisc is a thick lubricatrion drop and will help keep your cornea moist. The best thing for a corneal abrassion is to keep the eye patched. Good Luck

if you didnt scratch your eye my guess is to dont wear contact until 3 days after the pain. yes you need to see the doctor for it too.

do not scratch your eye and try glasses or go to your doctor that's what i say
