'Smudge' in my vision? Eye problem?!
Question: Ever since I can remember I've had this sort of 'problem' with my right eye, where I kind of see a 'smudge' in my vision sometimes. It's not in a fixed place, and when I try to focus on it it moves downwards and goes away. It's kind of like when you stare at a bright light, and then you're left with that mark on your vision for a while. It looks like a squiggly, smudged fingerprint. My vision in that area doesn't change colour, it's clear, just a little distorted. You can mostly only see the outline, and it's pretty small. I've never damaged my eye in any way. I guess since I've had it for ages I just kinda assumed it was some weird eye defect I was born with. Should I be worried?

could be due to dry eyes, dirty/oily tears etc if it really is a smudge. but the way you describe it makes it seem like floaters. they're little dark spots that floats around, usually black in colour, if it is red, you should be worried.
since it has been a round for a long time it should be fine. so don't worry. if there is a sudden dramatic increase, you should consult an eye care professional
it is obviously something that concerns you to some extent, so why don't you get an eye exam and ask the Dr. about it ?
It isn't normal, so having it checked out is the only way to know what it is.
maybe you once did stare at a bright light for too long
