20/30,20/40,20/50...?!


Question: My prescription is the following;

Right eye (OD)=
Sphere; -250
Cylinder; -100
Axis; 90
Prism; 0
Base; 0

Left eye (OS) =
Sphere; -250
Cylinder; -50
Axis; 60
Prism; 0
Base; 0

What kind of vision do I have 20/50 vision, 20/30 vision?
I have no clue.

Unless there is a medical reason, your prescription should give you 20/20 vision with your glasses. Some doctors will write on the prescription at the end of those numbers you wrote what your visual acuity will be with the prescription given. If you really want to know, call the office that gave you the Rx. It should be noted in your chart what your acuity is with and without glasses.

You can't. None of this has a direct, uniform relationship to the diopter power of the lens correction which provides the viewer with 20/20 vision. There's much more to vision than 20/20.
