Can someone Tell Me what it was like on their CONTACT LENSES EXAM,do they let yo!

Question: Im getting some tomorrow and here are my questions

Do they let you take a free pair home?

How long does it take?

If you bring a free trial pair certificate do you get a free box at the store?

And how long does it take?

Or you can just tell me about your experience and what happened?

Hey Keke.
Long time no see =].

Umm Optical Companies usually give a free pair out when you order contacts, but there are a couple of exceptions to this:
1) You have a stigmatism, in that case they have to order contacts especially for you.
2) They just simply ran out of your prescription (happened to me before).

The eye exam too me about an hour and thirty minutes, I guess it depends on how busy they are, because I was in the waiting room for about 20 minutes.

Umm lol I have no idea what a free trial pair certificate is, lol sorry.

It took about 5 days for my contacts to come in from the factory.

-Experience: I just went 3 weeks ago!!! It's funny how you always ask questions about contacts once I get mine =]. But when I went I ordered some glasses as well. The lady suggested that I get glasses for the weekends to let my eyes take a break, and surprisingly I like how I look with the glasses on.
-If this is your first time wearing contacts, they may suggest that you only go about 2 hours for the 1st week, 4 for the net week, and so on. I suggest you do that too, because I didn't listen and my eyes were red and itchy all day long! LOL it was so annoying! But i got through with it =].

-Well that's it hope I helped.

it is easy, after an exam, you try on a pair, and take them home with you. if you like them they order a box for you.

Yes, you will get at least one trial pair of whatever contacts you and your doctor choose.

My exam took less than an hour, and it was for the routine eye exam plus contact lens fitting.

You don't really HAVE to bring the free trial pair certificate; the doctor will give you at least one pair whether you have that or not. You don't get a free box, just one pair of contacts.

The exam itself was really simple...basic read-from-the-chart thing, then the eye doctor took my pupil measurements. All I had to do was look in this little box thing that seemed to take pictures of my eyes. It didn't hurt at all. After the exam, I got to try on different kinds of contacts (colored in my case), and see what I liked best. The eye doctor trained me in how to insert/remove the contacts, how to clean and store them properly, and explained about the contacts I'd chosen (when to change to a new pair, etc). After that, I got one free trial pair of contacts, and the doctor gave me a copy of my prescription, so that I can order anywhere online (much cheaper) or at any eye doctor's office.

I like to order my contacts from 1800contacts.com. They have great prices, and super fast shipping. With regular shipping, I always get my contacts in 5 days or less, and you can select next-day or second-day if need be. They also have excellent customer service if you ever have a problem.

It almost exactly like a regular exam for glasses except they also look at the shape of your eye. If your eye is extra large or extra small, you may need to order special contacts. The exam itself will not be noticeably longer than a glasses exam.

You usually do take a free pair home, but occasionally they are out of stock of a specific prescription.

I usually order my contacts that same day, but you are generally allowed to take one or two trial pairs home to try before you order. And, a free trial pair certificate will not get you a whole box -- just one pair. (usually there are 6 contacts in one box) But, again, most eye doctors let you have the free trial pair without a certificate.

Good luck!
