Are there any exercises I can do to strengthen my eyes?!


Question: I have new glasses and have noticed that my eye sight without them has gotten worse.

I work at good old specsavers and trust me The need for glasses isnt purely physiological at all! Everyone who needs glasses is because they cant see!
Unfortunatley ur eye sight prescription does change every two years.
I its a problem with your new glasses, id recomend takin them back to where you got them and sayin you cant see out of them, it might be the case of a simple adjustment or they have ur prescription wrong, so u mite be wearing the wrong glasses for u, in which case any respectable optictian should retest ur eyes free of charge.

Hope this helps... oh and i rele dont think staring at eye excerises on a computer, or nintendo would help ur eyes, seeing as computers make ur eyes worse because you are straining.

The only thing I know of is a game on Nintendo DS called Sight Training. I don't know if there's an online version, but you could google it. I have the Sight Training game but it's too soon to tell whether it's having any effect yet. Good luck :)

Ohhh get a ds and get that Eye Train thing that supose to be good for your eyes

If you have a Nintendo DS there's a good 'game' out called "Sight Training".

go to your opticians you may need a new prescription.

drink carrot juice

Carrot juice is very good for your eyes.

Take off your glasses every hour or so (especially if you stare at a monitor all day).
Looks in the distance and them closer quite a few times before putting your glasses back on.
This was what we were advised by Health and Safety at work.

get a screen for your monitor that wont do them any good.if they are already bad they will only get worse.

Best way is to cut down on the use of computer screens and viewing to much telly, ( yes we all do it) But over use does contribute to eye strain.

The need for eyeglasses is purely physiological. It is not anything that anybody did wrong or can do to prevent it. At a certain age vision will change more frequently, usually between age12-20 or so and then tend to level off to more minor changes through the years. The only thing is corrective eye surgery if you don't want glasses or contacts. no magic potion to drink or special exercises will stop anyone from needing glasses if they require them.
