It usually happens if you apply constant pressure to your eye for awhile. I'm not sure exactly why, but my guess is that the lens part of your eye gets slightly bent so things look blurry untill it gets back to it's original shape. If it is slowely coming back, you should be fine in a little while.

thats so weird, perhaps it somehow got scratched

see an eye doctor if it persists

Because there was pressure on your eye for a long time.

Because you forgot to take your glasses off. And sleeping with your eye pressed up against them added some unnecessary pressure.

It is just because of the pressure your glasses put on the nerves in and around your eye. No worries as long as it clears up.

You said it yourself, you fell asleep with your glasses on, reading glasses I presume.

its happening because if pressure on your eyeball and behind it. it should fix by itself within a few hours at most. if not, you should see a doctor or optomitrist.

p.s: what you did was quite dangerous - if yor glasses broke while you were sleeping on them, glass shards could have gone into your eye, resulting in loss of vision.

This happens all the time to me. The pushing on your eye and the pressure, changes the shape of your eye and squashes it if you happen to fall asleep whilst resting on your face. It will be blurry for a while but it will slowly go back to normal now the pressure it alliviated. Its freaky! But it will be fine. I would try not to do it too often though as i dont know if it damages your eye or not.
