Do I get a free pair of Contact Lenses from my doctor after the eye exam?!

Question: Im getting the kind that last 1-2 weeks, so will he give me the kind that last that long to take home with me? and how long will it take for them to get my contacts ready, or will they have them ready in like 30 mins. like glasses

Yes, you will get one free trial pair of contacts at your eye exam/contact fitting.

If they have your contacts in stock with the proper vision power, you can take them with you that day, right off the shelf. The eye doctors themselves don't make the contacts like they do glasses. The contacts are actually made by the manufacturer (like Freshlook contacts are made by CibaVision, etc), then sent to the eye doctors, with the vision power already in them. If they don't have your particular prescription, they will have to order them, and that can take up to a week in some cases.

You can also order your contacts online if you like...it's a whole lot cheaper, and with 1800contacts.com I've always gotten my contacts in 5 days or less with just the standard shipping...you can always upgrade to faster shipping if need be also.

It depends on where you go, i just went to Iris and yes i got the free trial pair that day, then it took about a week to get the real contacts in.

Can ask them for that. It isn't a problem at all. They will have stock at the shop and can use them immediately
